Why Is Patron Tequila Named Patron?
In 1989, Patrón was founded in Jalisco, Mexico, by John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley. ‘Big boss’ is how the brand’s name is pronounced. As a result of their attraction to the blue agave plant, bees are Patrón’s symbol.

The best flavor develops slowly and naturally. That’s why from the start we’ve made tequila the hard way – never taking shortcuts and using only high-quality raw ingredients to develop deep, complex flavors.
